For those remembering how to live in rhythm with their body, their roots, and the natural world.
We gather conversations with healers, artists, medical practitioners, and thought leaders - who offer us tools and resources to bolster a stronger sense of wellbeing, identity and unity.
We’re here for the honeys
who wax and wane with the moon,
who wade into shallow waters and pray to the sea Gods & Goddesses, who are learning to gift their blood back to the whenua/earth,
who are descending into their bodies to free themselves.
We're here to help demystify the ‘woo woo’ and offer a
wider scope to vitality and wellbeing.
Hosted by Tarikura, a girls girl through and through - a virgo sun, saggi rising and cancer moon. She’s a curious being, with a love for good stories, romancy, and the forrest.

TARIKURA KAPEA
Te Āti Haunui-a-Pāpārangi, Te Ati Awa, Ngāti Apa
Āio was born from a personal journey - a search for healing, reconnection, and the remembering of ancient ways.
After decades of navigating painful periods and feeling let down by mainstream systems, I found myself drawn to holistic healing and indigenous wisdom.
Raised in kōhanga reo and kura, I was privileged to be immersed in a Māori worldview - where nature is sacred, ceremony is medicine, and storytelling is a pathway to transformation.
I feel a deep responsibility to lend my voice to this movement of reclaiming ancestral ways.
Forever a humble student, I created Āio to keep learning - about all the ways we can tend to ourselves, our communities, and the earth.

Women’s Immersions
A sacred immersion to reweave the threads of feminine initiation that have been severed, hidden, or forgotten.
Rooted in Aotearoa, this gathering calls women and womb-bearers into the reclamation of rites of passage once honoured by our ancestors.
Through ritual, myth, prayer, and somatic practice, we remember ourselves as vessels of creation, wisdom keepers, and bearers of deep feminine knowing.
We gather to explore guardians and feminine forces of this land—as well as deities and archetypes from ancient civilisations across the globe. These lineages are not just stories. They are living blueprints for how we might inhabit our lives with purpose, beauty, and fierce devotion.
This immersion is co facilitated with Tarikura Kapea (host of Āio) and Sarsha Hope, Founder of Somatic Dance International.
